Assalamualaikum ya cool peeps. Not sure where to begin, but let's start with Bismillah as this is going to be my first post ever on this blog! For your information, #tripbarai & #trippokai are the two hashtags that we decided to use to label all our posts on all social media regarding the trips that we go on together throughout the 8 semesters that we will be spending in the next few years, so you can check out these hashtags on instagram as well to see pictures & videos that we took during our trips. Alright, let's skip the boring stuff and jump right into our first trip ever to Selangor!
First destination: Pantai Remis, Selangor.
This trip was actually the third destination that we visited during our photography trip this semester, but only when we got to Pantai Remis, we took some time to sit down, enjoy the view and just lepak while sipping our coconut shake. We left UiTM Shah Alam in the morning around 9am, and arrived at Bukit Melawati which was our first destination for the photography trip, then we went to a paddy field at xxxxx, took a few polaroids, and then proceeded to Pantai Remis.
Just some of the polaroids that we snapped near the paddy field ^^ |
When we got to Pantai Remis, it was only around 6pm so we had some time to walk around and snap some photographs under the guide of our lecturers. A few stalls were opened on the beach, so we decided to grab something to eat; for me it was a whole plate of kerang bakar which cost me RM15, and most of us bought a cup coconut shake to drink. The stalls were quite packed with people, but our food didn't arrive late or anything so I can't complain. After that, we caught the sunset and stayed on the beach for a while and left when it started to rain. We reached UiTM around 8pm, cleaned up, and got ready for our next destination for the night.

Second destination: BBW, MICC Selangor.
That evening while we were on the way back to UiTM, Masturah looked up on the instagram for car rental services and rented 3 cars for our trip to Big Bad Wolf book fair later that night. She rented one Axia and 2 Viva if I'm not mistaken. I rode the same car as Mastura, Caer, Elina and Aiman and we left around 8.30pm. We were meant to leave in a convoy, but was left behind due to miscommunications. We used Waze as our guide and got there around 9.15pm. We shopped for around 5 hours, grabbed some snack, paid for our books and then left for Putrajaya around 2am. Again, the convoy didn't turn out as planned due to miscommunications, our car got there early while the other 2 cars arrived late and we didn't get to meet up after all as they left to UiTM before we had the chance to do so. While we were waiting for them during the 2 hours wait, we stopped by a few mosques, drove around Putrajaya and chilled at the Putrajaya Lake as well the Putrajaya bridge until it was almost 5am. We then decided to go on our first ever spontaneous trip to Pantai Bagan Lalang, which was our last destination.
Final destination: Pantai Bagan Lalang, Sepang, Selangor.
Around 5am, we left Putrajaya and I drove on the highway (without a driving instructor for the first time ever!) to Bagan Lalang, which is famously known as Gold Coast, Sepang. When we reached there, the sky was pitch black so there wasn't anything for us to do. The shops were closed, the people there were just about to get up to get ready for Subuh. So we waited in the car until Subuh, prayed in the local surau, and by then the sky slowly turned brighter. We walked by the beach to catch the sunrise, and oh my, I've never seen such a beautiful sunrise in my life! The scenery was amazing, lamp posts on the side of the road, the waves were extremely subtle, in fact some parts of the beach had pools of water untouched, creating mirrored images of the sky. There were also a bunch of people catching crabs at the sea while holding flashlights, something I've never been able to witness before this. The sand was as soft as powder, and the whole area was so peaceful, made me feel so grateful that we made the spontaneous decision to travel here at 3am in the morning with our dying phones and our empty pockets. Around 7am, our stomachs began to grumble, and lucky for us several shops were just about to open. We then decided to grab some breakfast, while borrowing the shop's electricity to charge up our phones before leaving for Shah Alam at around 7.45am. We had to leave as soon as we could as we had to return our car (as well as the other 2 cars) at 9am. We managed to reach earlier than expected, took the other car keys from our friends who were fast asleep at the college dorm and returned the cars safely. That was also the first time I drove and parked a car alone, without a passenger to assist me.
Just as the sun was about to rise... |
Look at that sand tho! |

Overall, the trip (especially Bagan Lalang) was such an amazing first experience for me, and I think what had happened to us that night that caused us to decided spontaneously on going to a place we've never been to before without thinking twice is also the same reason why we keep on doing the same thing over and over - going to places spontaneously and enjoying the heck out of it! I'm glad that night happened, if it isn't for that, I don't think I'd be writing this blog post now, and I don't think I would be as close to my friends as I am now.
